Meet the team!
Terry O'KeeffeCompany DirectorAsbestos Assessor/Surveyor
I am Terry, I am the founder and company director for Asbestos Consultants NZ. I started off as a Builder, I ran my own building company for 20+ years, when the industry slowed down I needed to look at doing something else to either take over from building or continue building and have some other work on the side, also to keep my employees in full-time work.
I started up an Asbestos Removal company in 1999 and continued building until finally giving up the building side of things. Being a builder and then having an Asbestos Removal company gives me a lot of experience and knowledge when it come to being an Asbestos Assessor and especially an Asbestos Surveyor. |
Aaron O'KeeffeOperations ManagerAsbestos Assessor/Surveyor
I am Aaron, I am a licensed asbestos assessor and surveyor. I love this job, the fact that every day isn't the same is the most enjoyable part. From the extensive travel to meeting new clients who are starting new projects and require our services etc.
I come from a management background, where I was second in charge (of the BOP, Coromandel, WBOP, Taupo and all the way to Gisborne for one of the largest security firms in the country. My area was from Taupo north to Tauranga/Rotorua - all the way up to the coromandel and all the way over to Gisborne including Whakatane etc. From there I went to manage a large part of a hire car/transport company, I had roughly 40 drivers reporting to me daily who were support drivers for children with special needs. I took a lot of pride in that job but when I was approached to move on into the family business I couldn't say no, and I would never look back. Learning from the best (my dad) is a great help and also learning from the other Asbestos removal companies and lab analysis staff give me a great in site to what this product really is about. |
Archie BritzOperationsAsbestos Assessor/Surveyor in training
I am Archie, I recently moved to New Zealand from South Africa. I have a mechanical trade behind me as I ran my own auto mechanic business for over 30 years (I know I don't even look that old) but its true!
I was looking for a different direction in life and met Terry who wanted to take me on and train me up to become an asbestos assessor/surveyor. I wouldn't look back at the mechanic trade as the asbestos industry is so different, but its a nice change (I can let these old hands rest now, instead of jamming them between an air box and the engine). I look forward to seeing you at your property when you use our services we offer. Have a lekker day! |
